What do I do?

Quite a lot, as it turns out.

I'm a producer and project manager working across film, music, festivals, live events and creative education.

I specialise in making complicated creative projects work: taking an idea, figuring out what it needs, bringing together the right people and keeping everything moving from the first conversation through to delivery.

Depending on the project, that might mean building schedules, managing budgets, coordinating artists and creative teams, arranging venues and travel, supporting participants, running events, solving problems on the ground or keeping track of the hundred small things that nobody notices unless they go wrong.

Film + Creative Education

I currently work with NFTS Scotland on the Sean Connery Talent Lab, coordinating an intensive year-long programme of training, development and production for emerging filmmakers.

My work spans programme and production coordination, scheduling, logistics, budgets, venues, contributors and the day-to-day problem solving needed to keep a busy creative programme moving.

Music + Live Performance

Music is where my career started, and it continues to underpin much of my work.

I've produced and coordinated classical and contemporary music projects, working with artists, ensembles and venues to take projects from early planning through rehearsals to performance.

Recent work includes producing for Hebrides Ensemble and production coordination with Paisley Opera. Alongside my production work, I continue to sing professionally, primarily as an ensemble singer at Glasgow Cathedral. I also work with singers in other contexts, most recently supporting young singers as part of The Cumnock Tryst.

I'm always open to interesting performance and ensemble projects alongside my producing work.

Festivals + Events

I work on festivals and live events from both the planning and audience-facing sides.

For Glasgow Cathedral Festival, I work across operations and front of house, helping turn an ambitious artistic programme into something that works practically for artists, venues and audiences.

My wider experience includes event delivery, venue management, artist liaison, scheduling and the inevitable last-minute problem solving that comes with putting people in rooms at specific times and hoping everything behaves.

Across all of those worlds, the fundamentals are surprisingly similar.
